Menu Commands¶
The xView menu bar holds seven top-level menus, from left to right:
| Menu | Purpose |
|---|---|
| File | Create, open, save and print windows; configure communications and devices |
| Edit | Copy an image of the current window to the clipboard |
| View | Choose the display format and control the graph axes |
| Controls | Commands affecting every device in the system; always password protected |
| Options | Program settings, data logging, database, colours and TOU |
| Window | Arrange the windows on screen and save a layout |
| Help | Copyright, program version and system information |
How commands are written in this manual
Commands are written from the top-level menu down to the sub-menu — for example File → New means the New item within the File menu.
Note
Whether a given command is available depends on the type of window currently in use (the active window) and on the password level currently logged on.
