xView User Manual¶
Version 5.XX | May 2026
Published: 05/08/2026 18:19 (Asia/Bangkok)
This manual covers the installation, configuration and operation of xView — a GUI-based program that communicates with electrical measurement devices and displays and records their data on MS-Windows.
About the product name¶
xView is the product name used throughout this manual.
The same software has historically been shipped under a number of other names, depending on the application and on the customer it was delivered to — among them HView (HV), Data Smart View, AView, YTHView, IEView, INCView, MMI32, MMI9, AnalystSoft, GenSoft, ARTM and AnDiDAQ.
If the title bar on your installation shows a different name, this manual still applies: it is the same program.
Note
The term MMI as it appears in this manual (MMI Screen, /HIDEMMI,
atcmmi.ini, the MMIReport database) is the technical abbreviation for
Man Machine Interface, or the literal name of a file or command-line
switch. It does not refer to the product name and is therefore left
unchanged.
